Yesterday, I chose to traverse opposite of my usual route. Most of the time, I spent in my mango orchard which is situated on the bank of the Bagmati. Plum headed Parakeet and Cuckoo-shrike were noticeable sighting in the valley. These two species, I had snapped in Valmiki Tiger Reserve in 2014 which were published in the Volume-II of Birds of Bihar. Apart from these, I have also snapped Common kingfisher (Alcedo atthis) in the river. Some photos were snapped in my backyards notably White-throated fantail (Rhipidura albicollis) and Indian golden oriole.
